Resurgence of Violence-Extremist Groups in the United States, a Threat to Our Melting Pot

Introduction
Since the most recent presidential election, there seems to be trouble brewing in America’s so called ‘melting pot’. Occurrences in the modern political arena i.e., a congressman yelling “You Lie” to the President of the United States (U.S.) during a speech, calls for actions to overthrow the present government by a political party (Tea Party), even outward threats of assassination of the President from extremist groups.     With the election of the Nation’s first black President, Barrack Obama, there has been growth and new movement of resurgence of religious and extremist groups calling for the overthrow of government while preaching and promoting hate, racism and segregation within their communities through propaganda, threats of violence, and use of the media.  
It’s not so long ago as I observed the news from day to day, watching and listening to campaign speeches and promises made by all the candidates in the days leading up to the election that I begin to wonder what the future would be like in the U.S. if Barack Obama was to be elected President of the United States. I thought back to the assassinations of the Kennedys, Martin Luther King, Medgar Evers, and others with a mission to make living in America and human rights better for people of all colors, religions, sex, ages, sexual orientations, and ethnic backgrounds. Realizing what past events occurred when Democrats ruled the House, Senate, and White House giving light to changing human rights laws, followed by a spike in hate groups, it didn’t take long to start wondering with this new movement of right wing, religious, political and other hate groups,” Will Barack Obama be the next casualty the country suffers at the ignorance of others?”
