More and more restaurants have turned to online reservation systems as a way of getting their name out into the market faster. Online reservation systems have become popular to independent restaurants and upscale chains.
For both categories of restaurants, you get access to a way of getting your name out there, as well as table management software to run your business successfully. However, chain restaurants have an advantage over an independent restaurant, as chain restaurants have an established brand name and brand image attached to their location. It is best to make reservations ahead of time for dinner. Make them in the morning before you plan to go, or a day before. This assures that you will get a table and shows a gesture of respect to the restaurant owners.
If you arrive at a restaurant without a reservation, the restaurant may appear to be empty, but still they might not seat you. This is because every table is reserved. Most country restaurants take only one reservation per table for the evening - they do not count on turning a table over during the evening. If you make a reservation, the table is yours for the evening, which is good, because dinner at a country restaurant can easily take two to three hours.

Here in the Philippines, restaurants have limited its customers in reserving a seat via phone and very few restaurants only use its own online reservation system via their own company’s predesigned website.
