1. Introduction
Namibian Police Force is an organisation that its members take an oath to uphold the constitution and laws of Namibia without fear and favour (Iileka, 2012, p. 3). The study conducted by Richardson of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago on “Recruitment Strategies” suggests that, acquiring and retaining high quality talent is critical to any organisation’s success. The job market has become competitive, the available skills grow more diverse and recruiters need to be more selective in their choices. The poor recruiting decisions, affects and produces long-term negative effects such as high training and development costs and poor performance. At last, the organisation will fail to achieve its objectives and losing its competitive edge and its share of the market (Cloete, 1992, pp. 162-164). The study intends to offer some thoughts about issues of police organisation and management. This domain includes how to staff, structure, direct, and equip public police organisation (Namibian Police Force, 2011, p. 6). The research will cover the theoretical framework and topic of recruitment process. The researcher will not pretend to cover or offer a comprehensive overview of the important issues that fall within this domain, since, the volume could be...
