VISUALIZING FRACTIONS WITH MEDIC BOX

1.Introduction
Learning Mathematics is something difficult for a lot of students, they cannot visualize those abstract concepts. One of it is fractions. Student cannot visualize the process of operations on fractions. The algorithms of those processes are too complicated for them. By only using Medic Box, the same operations on fractions can be done better.

Operations on Fractions are solved by using very abstract procedures where it is very complicated for weak students. [pic]

There are so many constraints have to be overcome before students can solve it. 1. find the lowest common denominator.
2. convert to equivalent fractions
3. compute (addition)
4. write the final answer

It seems only involve few steps, but there are some obstructs 1. find the lowest common denominator.

to make sure students can solve the same problem easier and have less chances to make mistake. (have a better understanding the concept behind the abstract procedures)
