SAMPLE DESIGN Research Design is conceptual structure within which research is conducted.
It constitutes the blue print of collection, measurement and analysis of data
.Research Design is needed because it facilitates the smooth sailing of various research operations, thereby making research as efficient as possible yielding maximum information with minimum time, effort and money. Research Design stands for advance planning of methods to be used for collecting relevant data and techniques to be used in the analysis .The design helps researcher to organize his ideas whereby it will be possible for him to look for flaws and inadequacies.

PRIMARY DATA

Primary research consists of the collection of original primary data. It is often undertaken after the researcher has gained some insight into the issue by reviewing secondary research or by analyzing previously collected primary data. It can be accomplished through various methods, including questionnaires and telephone interviews in market research, or experiments and direct observations in the physical sciences, amongst others. For the research undertaken by me we used questionnaires which included 13 questions to be asked to the retailers also observation method of the retailers was carried out simultaneously .

SECONDARY DATA

Secondary data, is data collected by someone other than the user. Common sources of secondary data for social science include censuses, organisational records and data collected through qualitative methodologies. For the research undertaken by me I undertook the help of websites as well as the newspaper for the current happenings in the besan and pulses price index .

SAMPLE DESIGN

A procedure or plan drawn up before any data are collected to obtain a sample from a given population. Also known as sampling plan; survey design
The sample may be probablit sampling or non – probability sampling .probablity sampling is based on the conceot of random
