Research Assignment

Paragraph 1

I have recently applied for your Medical Office Assistant position at the Family Health Care clinic and I am excited to find a place in the medical field. When I was young, in my family, I was always the one to clean and bandage other people’s wounds.   My father once cut himself badly, and almost severed his finger. Every day, for almost one month, I would clean and re-bandage the wound. I would also document the amount of gauze and bandages used, as well as the progress the wound was making with each day. It was a great feeling for me and has since motivated me to follow the medical field in some way. Taking care of people, whether sick or injured has always sparked something in me. I greatly enjoy helping and working with others.

Dear Angie,

I wanted to inform you about an office position available in our clinic, Family Health Care.   My boss, Dr. Tolbert, is in need of an assistant, and I think you would be perfect for the job. He is looking for someone to assist him in his daily routine, like; documenting in-patient information, keeping files at hand and in order, preparing his paperwork for the next patient, and a few other miscellaneous tasks. I think your organizational and people skills, make you a great candidate.   I also think since you are so outgoing and happy go lucky, you would fit right in at our office.   You would receive competitive pay, along with medical and dental benefits, plus a 401 K.
