In the world of business, it is important for organizations to conduct the proper research for the type of market segment that they are currently in or going to be entering in. Proper market research involves key aspect points that reveal the target goals and target audiences of the target segment. Business research is the key element to an organizations or businesses success and prosperity. This paper will give an example of a current business and its research project. This paper will define business research purpose. Explain the business problem under investigation and identify the parties involved in conducting research. This paper will also explicate the method used to conduct the research of the given project.
      Define Business Research and Purpose
      The synopsis in this paper is the research study involved in price knowledge measurement scale used within the Kudler fine foods grocery store line and Zappos clothing retail industry. The goal of this research project is to identify the problems under investigation, different methods of data collected and the outcome results. Business research as an organized, systematic, data-based, critical, objective, scientific inquiry or investigation into a specific problem, undertaken with the purpose of finding answers or solutions (Sekaran, 2003, p.5).   Organizations business research would be conducted based on price knowledge measurements which would include self assessment against percentage absolute deviation (PAD) and that compared to of retail grocery chain versus retail clothing. Percentage absolute deviation (PAD) can be a confusing element or term to understand but it is simply finding out the average or mean price or of a product that is sold.
