1. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
1.1 General Description of Work
The scope of this proposal includes a complete design and construction of a Baseball Practice Field for a semi-pro baseball team called “Hurricanes.” The intended baseball field must have a club house and a parking lot for about 50 cars next to it. No spectators sitting are required. The BIDDER will be responsible for an integrated design and overall package to reach the requirements presented in this proposal.
This facility must be constructed over an owned 20 acres land, which is relatively flat and requires small works in order to get it into conditions. To accomplish this, the BIDDER must consider demolishing some dilapidated structures, deforesting few small to medium size trees, and working on soil recondition.
Also, the BIDDER must perform all the Engineering activities related with the design, control, and construction of the practices field, irrigation system, illumination system, club house, and parking lot.
1.2 What Must Be Included with Bid
To properly evaluate the bid proposal, all of the information requested in this RFP must be provided by the BIDDER. In order to a better understanding of the requirements, Hurricanes’ Team divided those requirements in tree (3) major components, as shown below: * Technical Documents, which include Engineering Drawings List for the construction of the practice field, club house, and parking lot. Also, the BIDDER must include Structure Calculations and Foundation Design Procedures, Soil Studies Strategy, and an estimated Bill of Materials and Utility List. BIDDER must consider an Irrigation System design for keeping the practice field grass in optimum condition through all years long. Illumination Systems must be considered for evening practices, as well as, for the parking lot and club house.
* Management Requirements, in which the BIDDER must provide a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan, a Safety, Hygiene and Environmental Plan, a Work Schedule, and a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Also, Hurricanes’ Team requires to the BIDDERs to submit the following information related to the company: List of Accomplished Works and Machinery and Equipment List.
