I, Praveen Kumar, the undersigned student of Dehradun Institute of Technology Dehradun, declare that this project report titled “JOB SATISFACTION” is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the summer internship project during the Post Graduate Program in Management. I also declare that this is my original work and has not been previously submitted as part of any other degree, diploma of another B-school or University. The findings and conclusions of the data in this report are based on my personal study, during the tenure of my summer internship.

PREFACE
To learn Practically is very different from theoretical learning. What we learn in a class-room is very different from what we learn actually. AXIS bank Dehradun is such an organisation where one can be in very co-operative world. In this era it is very difficult to find such an organisation. I owe to work with this and i believe that the students who are going to work wiyh AXIS BANK in their near future will remain motivated and induced. I got to learn a lot while i was in my internship as the environment of AXIS BANK is very friendly, motivated, co-operative.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY 1. To assess the extent of job satisfaction of employees in a Public Sector Bank (UCO Bank) and a Private Sector (AXIS Bank).

2. To compare the level of job satisfaction of the Public Sector and Private Sector Bank employees.
3. To suggest strategies for better job satisfaction of bank employees on the basis of research findings.
