Abu Bakr Al siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him), narrated: "I heard Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) saying: ‘There isn’t a man who, when he commits a sin, rises, makes ablution, and offers two rak'as of prayers, but Allah forgives his sins.”
The best of sinners are those whom repent. Allah loves whom repent and gives glad tidings to them.
Allah says in the Qur'an:
"Except those who repent, have faith and good deeds, those Allah will change their sins into good deeds. Certainly Allah is most forgiving and merciful."
How do you repent? For repentance to be accepted by Allah, one should go through these four stages:
1- Stop the sin.
2- Regretting deeply and truly for the sin you committed.
3- Return to Allah for forgiveness.
4- Strong intention never to return to that same sin again.
ALLAH WANTS TO FORGIVE YOU FOR YOUR SINS IN THIS DUNYA. SO WHY WAIT TILL THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT AND GET PUNISHED FOR YOUR SINS.
Someone may ask, "How do I go about repenting from a sin?" Do I just say, "I repent." and that’s it, or is there anything to be done after that? Two things should immediately be done. The first is an act of the heart, to sincerely regret the sins of the past. The second is an act of the body, to bring up some good deeds, starting two cycles of prayer of repentance.
First: Make du3aa for yourself to make your heart purified from all sins you have committed. Because everyone commits sins and nobody can deny that. Make your intention not to do that sin again. Second: Offer two rak’ats of prayer. Performs them in full presence of mind and heart. Commit no mistake within the prayers. Does not speak to himself within them. Recite the prayer-words in them well and in humility. Then seeks Allah’s forgiveness.
-Your past sins are forgiven.
-You are assured Paradise.
Abu Sai’d Alkhudri reported: Prophet of Allah said: There was a man from among a nation before you who killed 99 people. He wanted to repent and asked for...
