I . Determining whether to buy or rent can be difficult. I believe the monetary advantages, personal advantages, and community advantages makes buying superior to renting.

While deciding to rent or buy housing can be a difficult decision. This paper will discuss the pros and cons of each and the writers belief based on research, on personal experience, and individual assessment, I believe that buying is a much better option. The economic recession in the last several years, has had profound effects on several industries. Rising unemployment rates coupled with increased inflation has resulted in several individuals not being able to afford their homes which have led to an increase in foreclosures and short sales and decrease in property values.
