You may have heard that renting is a waste of money because it does not build equity. Most renters eventually seek to become first-time buyers by the time they are thirty. With that being said renting is a better option than buying a house, when renting something’s that you don’t have to worry about would be the maintenance of the apartment, having to pay any type of property taxes on the apartment, it keeps you flexible, they don’t about keeping the property up. When renting an apartment you have the choice of picking up and moving whenever you feel like it. There may fees that you might have to in order to break your lease. When you own a home you don’t have that ability to up and move as you please. You have to put your home on the market and hope by the time you find your next home you have sold or rented out your old home. You lose a lot of flexibility when you decide to “put down roots” and this is one of the biggest reasons why you shouldn’t buy.
