One way to synthesize the many components of each religion within a family of religions is to consider them all comparatively. This allows you to see the evolution of each religion and formalize how they are simlilar and how the differences distinguish each religion and its particular belief system. * Review your Resemblance Characteristics Chart, that you have been filling it out. * Review the course text, World Religions: A Historical Approach, Chapter 18. * Review the course text, The World's Religions, Chapter VI, (pp. 221–265) and Chapter VII, (pp. 271–295). * Consider the similiarities between all three religions presented this week. * Reflect on how the unique characteristics define each religion from one another. The assignment:
* Compose a 1- to 2-page essay in which you do the following: * Distinguish the characteristics that all three religions share. * What is the meaning of each similarity that these religions share? How do the simliarities reflect a religion of Abraham? * Identify the characteristics that are unique to each religion. * How do the differences distinguish each religion from the others? * Support your assertions by making at least 2 references, in proper APA format, to your course readings.
