          20. GUIDELINES FOR DISPOSAL OF REP LICENCE

20.1 With a view to streamline the procedure of disposal of REP i.e. Replenishment Licenses procured by exporting branches of the Federation, a set of guidelines has been prepared for information and compliance of the procedure laid down by all branches. The guidelines, inter-alia, elaborate the procedure to be adopted by the procuring branch and the branch, which has to dispose of these licenses with the approval of Head Office. The Branches are advised to comply with these guidelines strictly for further disposal of Replenishment Licenses.

  a) All Branches/Processing Units undertaking exports of various agricultural commodities both in primary as well as processed form should apply for grant of Import Replenishment (REP) Licence under the category of registered exporters/export house, as the case may be in accordance with the existing Import/Export Policy of the Govt.
  b) After obtaining REP licence against export of various commodities, all branches/processing units may immediately send them to Bombay office under intimation to Head Office.
  c) Bombay office on receipt of REP Licences from various branches/processing units may consolidate the details/particulars of the licences received by them on quarterly basis and send the statement thus complied to Head office.
  d) HO on receipt of consolidated statement of REP Licences received by NAFED from Bombay will circulate to all concerned officers, RMs, BMs etc. for seeking proposals/comments for utilization of REP Licence for import of eligible items, capital goods, office machines and equipments, for adjustment in the amount of foreign exchange to be released to export houses in the amount of foreign exchange to be released to export houses in excess of Rs. 10 lacs for surrendering the REP Licence for renewal of our export house certificate in case it is not possible for NAFED to achieve requisite...
