The purpose of this report is to get an insight in the relationship between illegal drugs and violence in Mexico. The rapport focuses on the relationship between Mexico and the United States, the effects of the ‘War on Drugs’ and the situation now a day.

This report consists of an introduction of the relationship between Mexico and the United States involving Drugs. In the following chapter the current situation will be introduced and the measures to prevent the ‘War on Drugs’.

I hope the content of this report will give the readers a quick look into the Drug problems in Mexico and United States. Second of all it will be informative to them.

Introduction
In newspapers and on the news there are lots of negative articles about Mexico. The drug war has becoming a serious problem in Mexico and the United States.

The aim of this paper was to analyse the complicated relationship between Mexico and the United States.

This paper presents a briefly summary of the complicated relationship between Mexico and the United States, the effects of the ‘war on drugs’ and in the end the current situation in both countries.

In this chapter the background of the drugs problem will be discussed and the influence it has on the United States and Mexico.

The drugs consumption in the United States has been a problem for many years, with five per cent of the world population and 50 per cent of the world consumption on Drugs.
