Reflection of Rear Window
As I read the title of this short story, I was wondering what kind of story is this. The title does not give me a really good impression of the short story. But well, I guess it is true that we can’t judge a book by its cover. The title is not that impressing but rear window is really an attention-grabbing short story. Once you have started read it, you just can’t stop. This story is full of surprise and it’s unpredictable. We never get to guess what is going to happen next and make us want to read it more in order to know the ending. The way the author explaining every single detail helps us understanding the story better and feels like we were there. Most importantly, I can relate some of the issues highlighted in this short story in our daily life. What I realize is, we (human) always keep on thinking of our own problem and we never care about others. Nowadays, we can see that everyone is busy and they are like living in their own world where only they and their family exist. This is why some of people don’t even talk to their neighbours and some of them don’t even know their neighbour’s name because they think it is not important to do so. But actually they are wrong this is because. Another thing that I have learned from this story is we should never give up in doing anything because we know when there’s a will there’s a way. This is what everyone should apply in everyone’s life. As for students, if we really want to succeed in our studies, we should study earnestly. If we fail, do not give up as faint heart never won fair lady. We should try and keep on trying until we are able to achieve success.
