“Redbull Gives You Wings,” we’ve all heard the saying before and it has definitely proved to be successful. With Redbull being the leading seller of energy drink in the industry, it’s obvious they’re doing something right. Let us have a closer look at one of their many bizarre yet effective ads.

There are many different ways companies can choose to advertise their products. In the ad Redbull chose a completive ad which is trying to persuade the target market to select the firm’s brand rather than that of a competitor. This ad would be found in magazines, on the internet and even on billboards, each having their own pros and cons. When advertising in magazines, the company is able to make sure that mainly its target market will view this ad since they can advertise in a magazine that has the same target market. The downfall is that Redbull’s target market is not the type who would regularly sit down and read a magazine, there is also a limited amount of magazines suited for Redbull’s advertising. The cost is also a disadvantage. Online advertising a growing trend and great for companies’ to get noticed. This is a great way of ensuring that your ad gets viewed by millions, the downfall is that is it difficult to make sure that it is only viewed by the specific target market. Outdoor billboards advertising are great for Redbull, it may urge the consumer to purchase a Redbull after seeing the ad, and places selling it are always nearby. The disadvantage is that the effectiveness of the billboards depends on the amount of traffic in that location. With all these different ways for their advertisement to be viewed, Redbull has a great chance of having satisfying sales.
