Recreation and Summer
[Can you help me come up with a hook for this story?] Summer is a great time of the year for every person younger than eighteen because it is a time of year you have little to no responsibilities. You can sleep in, relax, hang out with friends or just do whatever you want all summer long. These are the reasons I love summer. My summer this year has been great because there was always something to do, whether it was playing games, to going to seeing a movie, to hanging out with friends. The majority of every one of my summers is spent on one thing, games. I was playing everything from Legend of Zelda on the Nintendo 64, to Skyrim on my computer, to Sega Superstar Tennis on the Wii. I am just relaxing on my bed shooting zombies rather than having Math, English, History, etc. I don’t need to go to an amusement park or visit another country to have an awesome summer, just give me a good game and I’m happy. Relaxing in your room and gaming is the definition of summer to me. I don’t think I can think of a summer with absolutely no gaming. Gaming helped make this summer great to me.

One of the best parts of the summer is getting to hang out with your friends. This year I got to hang out with friends more than normal making my summer even better. I got to hang out with them by Skype calling each other and playing Team Fortress 2. We would get together in person, and then we would go home and play and talk for hours more. Sometimes my friends, Austin and Brian would just start playing together and talking. We didn’t have to deal with the hassle of cleaning our rooms, driving to each other’s houses, and we could just be sitting there in our underwear on our beds. We could just hangout talk and have fun gaming together. Hanging out with friends is part of what made this summer great.

While friends and gaming made my summer better, every summer I game and hang out with friends. This year, however, my family and I went to see a whole lot of movies and

My spring break was filled with fun. I was surrounded by people that I loved and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. The fun began on Friday when I went to Disney World for my class trip. It wasn’t my first time going to Disney world but it was my first time going with my friends, and I have to say that I finally had time to just unwind and be myself. One wouldn’t think that there is much to do Disney world, being that we were all seventeen and way past the age to go meet and greet with Mickey. But we actually enjoyed bringing out our inner child and we were even able to go on a few roller coasters when we weren’t eating. I don’t really know what it is about amusement park food, but there’s something about greasy chocolaty funnel cakes and burgers with cheese oozing down the sides that gets me every time. The only bad thing about Friday was my aching feet at the end of the day but other than that I didn’t want the day to end.…

Summer to me is the season of fun; the season where kids get to be outside play all day long because the day is illuminated by the sun almost until eight at night. I got to play all day and it was even better when my cousins came over, I especially enjoyed this season when I was little. I have four other cousins that are about my age so you can imagine how chaotic it was with six kids from ages six to ten years old being together. As all kids we looked for adventure with our imagination, we invented games, and our parents taught us games they played when they were younger. One game that especially stood out was a game called “hoyitos” or “little holes”.…

The best thing about my summer was obviously when my baby sister Ava was born! Which was July 30th and 7:43 pm. It feels like just yesterday I was finding out I was going to be a big sister. Back in January 2015, I was very nervous at first but then I got used to it and started to get thrilled by having a sibling. Now she is here and I love her with all my heart!…

The beginning of Christmas break was awesome. We had a relaxing day and after school, Ella, Taylor, Seamus, Motse, Christina, and I went into to courtyard and gave each other our secret santa gifts. Seamus was my secret santa and I was Motse’s but I gave presents to everyone. I also got awesome Christmas presents from Kaitlyn and Weronika. From them I got two steven universe tee shirts, a steven universe beanie, a marcelline statue, another beanie, lipsticks, and an iTunes gift card. After that I hung out with Ella and we watched Steven Universe. The next day I woke up at 5 am for my first volleyball tournament, we did pretty bad but it was a learning experience. We only won one set.…

It was a 3-day weekend or someday in my senior year of high school that I was able to persuade my mother to let me go to Irvine Spectrum with friends on a Friday afternoon. This was the last couple times that I could hang-out with my high school friends before we walked our way to the graduation; we better did something fun! However, there was really nothing, yes, nothing,…

I didn’t really do much over the summer. We went to Indiana beach, and I am not too fond of roller coasters, or any ride for that matter, except for at water parks. Last year in 7th grade we went to Washington D.C and saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, we went inside the Capitol building, The Changing of the Guard at Arlington cemetery, saw The White House. That didn’t really interest me, I don’t even have any souvenirs! Even earlier in the year, we went to Buffalo, New York. We saw a football game (the team we were rooting for lost,(TO THE JETS!) and we got to see Niagara Falls.…

What I did this summer was on the last day of school me and my family went to this park that as a small pond and a large sizes bridge that crosses over it . After we were done at the park we went to Dairy Queen and had fun. Over the summer I had swam with my friends that live nearby . During the summer I like to do projects out of wood and other materials such as a go carts ,trigger box trap which works by a rectangular prism that has a drop door on the entrance and a trigger in the back of the trap that is a stick with a notch in it so once the animal hit the trigger the door will fall and trap it .…

Summer 2010 was great for me. I did a lot of stuff this summer and hung out with a lot of friends but the highlight was riding to Wasco every Saturday morning. I would meet up with Chris Impson and we would usually hang out for the whole day. I live in St. Charles so I would have a 8 mile ride down there and sometimes we would ride bikes all the way back to my house so it was quite the work out. Other days I would ride my bike to Wasco and meet up with Christopher then ride to another friends house and spend the day there. I am really satisfied with the way my summer went. I did more than just saw friends though, I went to Wisconsin, spent a week in Missouri by myself, and rode dirt bikes on our farm. While I was in Missouri I did a lot like help my Grandpa out and played a lot of baseball.…

The next day my mom sat me on the couch in front of the television, and they left to snowboard, which I gave them permission to do. Alone at the hotel, I was very gloomy. I was alone and there was snow outside. Living in Houston, we didn’t get a lot of the powdery, light, soft, icy rain that fell from the sky, and I was missing out. The next day was the same, boring and uneventful. By that time, I was depressed and bored beyond imaginable. I was beginning to think it was a waste of a vacation, and I could be doing so much more with my time, so I decided to change that.…
