Introduction

I investigated and analysed environment, role and frontline activities of ‘The Waterside House Hotel’ in Donabate. The Waterside House Hotel boasts 35 well-appointed bedrooms, 19 of which overlook the Irish Sea with views of Lambay Island & Howth Head. Chris & Thelma Slattery and family acquired the spectacularly located Waterside House Hotel in October 2005. Since then, the hotel has been transformed from a basic 3 star seaside building, to a friendly warm inviting 3.75 star hotel with 4 star standards in everything they offer. The team at The Waterside House Hotel was awarded, for 2 years running, best in Customer Services at the Fingal County Enterprise Awards Ceremony.

Chris & Thelma have been serving the public for over 25 years after purchasing an old train station in the early 80's and transforming that into the ever so quaint and popular Station House Hotel in Co. Meath. The attention to detail and expertise carried over to The Waterside House is apparent once you walk inside this beautifully presented beach front Dublin Airport hotel.

The reputation of the Slattery family in the industry is beyond question and there is no doubt – The Waterside House Hotel can look forward to a bright new future. They are determined and since taking over the hotel they have already brought the very best of their experience from The Station House Hotel to The Waterside House Hotel.
