Introduction
The Rastafari movement is generally an intricate outlook upon life. It provides its adherents with the wisdom of black pride. However the acceptance of this way of life is intolerable for some because people’s ignorance is a detrimental factor, thus causing them to deny the ability to grasp the true meaning of Rasta. For instances, if you a Rasta,your automatic assumption might be that he is a criminal which is totally preposterous and bias. This shows that you’re illiterate and ignorant. Moreover it proves that the white man’s reign of manipulation still lingers today promoting inequality and prejudice. Despite these facts, this does not deter real Rastas in what they believe and promote. For they are strong in faith and wisdom, due to Marcus Garvey’ teachings.

Rational
Rastafari is a movement and ideology. It is not considered a religion by many Rastas but as a culture or a way of life. Presently we can obviously see the white man’s control still prevails. Due to the fact that there are many who see their way of life as an abomination. Rastas believe that the white man’s manipulation weaken the blacks for generations while their race strengthen. However Marcus Garvey teaches that the blacks were the dominant race and that the white man supremacy perplexed us. That’s why I chose to embark on this topic to underline the movement’s origin, its founder and who they worship.

Rastafari is a movement and ideology. It began as a social stand against whites and the middle-classes, whom the Rastafarians saw as oppressors. The Rastafari movement developed in Jamaica around 1930s amongst low working class blacks, in an environment of great poverty, racism and class discrimination. This alongside the Rasta’s message of black pride and freedom from oppression certainly inspire its followers. Today the Rastafari movement has over a million adherents worldwide.
