elaborate various emerging issues and problems in operations management for manufacturing and service organization
apply the methods, tools, and techniques often used in operations function
illustrate the usage of recent technology that directly influence operations management
This course includes the strategic role of production operations management and how it interfaces with other functions of the organizations; the role and functions of operations manager is discussed in detail and problems and issues faced by him will also be highlighted; proven principles of operations to solve related problems and issues will be illustrated.
