Benson Zhang Math 90

Sorry for the day late, I was meaning to turn it in yesterday, but completely forgot. My printer was out of ink during the beginning of spring break and I hadn’t gotten the chance to refill it, plus math is my first class of the day and I was already late as it is, so I didn’t want to come in any later.
For my semester, it has been relatively good. The bad thing was that the class was kind of really early, but other than that, I really got into the habit of waking up early and being productive through the day. Without this early class, I would’ve been waking up late into the day, wasting it. I am currently enrolled in 4 classes: Math, English, Political Science, and Astronomy. I have no idea what I’m doing with the 2 extracurricular classes but I’m having fun learning about new things. I spend about 14 hours a week in all my classes, as for trying to study and working, I am limited on how much I can study because I have 2 jobs which means 7 days a week of work. I spend about 40 hours or more between the two jobs just trying to make some extra money. For your class, I spend about an hour on homework at times trying to figure out the ridiculous questions and how to answer it the right way which sometimes pisses me off (no offense to you, I blame the site). I really do enjoy online homework, makes it easier to remember and to do. I feel like Logs and Ln is my strong suit as I have had a bit of practice before and the hardest for me would’ve been the exponents. As for the midterm, We had a midterm? I didn’t think that starting off in the school year, I would be having two jobs at once as I was trying to just look for one, but the opportunity arise and I just seized it. It has really changed my life as now I have to juggle school with two jobs at once plus putting time to do some personal relaxation. I am trying to get out of my old lazy habits and get into the “always working attitude.” I feel like if I had a test of

The semester started off the same as most. I go into it telling myself that I will stay caught up this time. I won’t allow myself to do assignments at the last minute. As usual these promises are quickly broken. I work eight to twelve hours a day and six days a week most weeks, so often when I get home, the last thing I want to do is homework. This means putting everything for most of my classes off till Sunday. A habit I have sadly been in for the better part of my time at Gateway.…

    1. Suppose you’re in a conversation and the person you are with claims to know that God exists (or that God does not exist—it’s up to you). What does such a knowledge claim amount to? In other words, what sorts of conditions have to be satisfied for such a knowledge claim to be legitimate? Do you think such a person could meet those conditions? Why? Be sure to discuss not only the classical model of knowledge, but also the challenges posed to it by basic beliefs and Gettier counterexamples. (Be sure to give a Gettier-type example and explain its relevance to the knowledge issue.)…

This semester has been a little difficult for me; I have faced many challenges and still have more to come. Classes have been hard to adjust to but I have tried my hardest and put my best foot forward. The main two classes that I feel I am struggling in right now are English 1000 and Math 1090. I feel these are my hardest classes because English is a weak subject for me and coming into college English is a big step for me. I have a big problem with my writing and the way I word my papers therefore English is a weakness of mine. Math is another weakness of mine because when I learn new things and I don’t understand them I don’t usually tend to ask for help and in math you learn something new every day. I was very good at math…

Collaborative working- based on teamwork, working together. It’s become very important because brings better understanding between of constraints professional and system overall. Also avoid the blame when problems occured. In order for professional to work effectively, there must be a process based on shared goals and philosophies. Also have mutual respect, trust, and willingness to share knowledge and have an open communication and take on board the reality of status, Authority and power differential. Macbeth and Banquo share many similar characteristics: they are both courageous and valiant leaders on the battlefield, widely respected by the men they and lead and they are both loyal to the King and patriotic to Scotland. Shakespeare introduces the two men through the Captain who describes their courage and heroic performance in the face of the enemy, ' ...Like Valour's minion carved out his passage / Till he faced the slave... ' (Act 1, Scene 2). Macbeth has killed rebels, captured the traitor, obtained the ransom money for his King and negotiated a peace treaty; he is a ruthless yet honourable man with a capacity for humanity.…

“Scouts of Honor” was a video that shocked me to know that the largest youth movement in the country, in which values are treating everyone equally and standing up for what you believe in, would ban gays to be a part of their organization. One in five boys in American are a boy scout. In Petalima, California, troop # 174, a twelve-year-old boy by the name of Steven Cozza started an anti-gay stand by the name of “Scouting for all”. They held petitions and set up stands at local grocery stored. They also went to San Francisco to the gay freedom day to take a stand. Steven chose to do this because of the expulsion of gays from the scouts. The New York City Police Department even opted to help in their efforts when they heard about what Cozza was doing. Cozza spoke about the increased suicide rates of teen who are searching for acceptance and trying to figure out why society is so against the homosexual community. It was justified that a gay man as a leader of a boy-scout troop would in turn be a child molester. Even the Boy Scout Association of America stated that studies show gays are less likely to be child molesters that heterosexuals. In the case against Tim Curry, the Supreme Court ruled that the Boy Scouts of American was a private institution and they could ban gays from their organization if they so desired. The boy-scout handbook teaches you to love everyone, not just certain people. Steven showed this contradiction to Americans at his rallies. Scott Cozza, Steven’s father, was forced to resign at Assistant Scout Master of Steven’s troop because f his involvement in the “Scouting for All” campaign. The banning of homosexuals from the boy scouts defeats the puproses and teachings of the boy scouts morality as a whole. In 1999, James Dale won a court case against the Boy Scouts of America stating that they were a public association and that they couldn’t discriminate on gay members. In 2000, the Supreme Court overruled their decision and stood by…

    * Academic Work: I’m achieving very good grades except for my meteorology. It’s a subject that I’m very new to and something that is actually very hard for me. I understand the material of the work I just have a hard time putting it down on my homework or test. I took that class so I can have a challenge in school. Yes indeed, it’s giving me a work out, but in the end I know it will be all worth it because I would have passed that class. Not with a D or a C passing it with a B or an A. Other than that class, I’m enjoying every single bit of all my other classes. I’m currently passing them with an A or B. I’m very well satisfied.…

My advice to you is to not goof off and horse around in class, because if you do you will most likely regret it later on and realize that if you would have paid more attention during class and turned in all your work on time high school would be easier. I can tell you that from experience because now it’s really difficult for me to work from all the procrastinating that I have built up and has become a habit. I have now formed a habit of doing my work and setting reminders for myself to do my homework that I have at home and read ahead to be ahead of class so I can keep up and be more recommendable for my college letter of recommendation.…

Since this is my first semester as a college student I didn't know what to expect. One of my major challenges is money. In my senior year of high school my counselor was always telling me ways to help me financially with college. But I never really listened because I didn't think it would be that much, but I didn't have any money saved up for it. But towards the end of high school I realized I really needed help with this, so I listened to what she had to tell me. Another challenge is my classes. Its not that my classes are hard there quite easy, including English, it’s just the homework that’s a little challenging.…
