CHAPTER 2

My eyes flash open as I sit up and take a look around. I in my bed, and man did I move in my sleep. Somehow I’ve thrown my blanket, pillow, and sheets off my bed and around the room. I look at the clock and see that it is 6:30, “time to get ready” I think to myself as I head to the shower. As I’m getting ready I start to think about that dream and how much it reminded me of a game I play called “Kingdom Hearts“, but the more I think about it the less likely it seems. I mean come on I may have my head in fantasy 24/7 but even I know that couldn’t happen, could it? I just shrug it off as I finish getting ready and head out to school. I get to school and meet up with my friends, and we start talking about random stuff. As I’m talking to them out of the corner of my eye I see a new girl, and the principle is telling her to take off some head band I can’t see clearly. “ who’s the new girl” I ask Charlie. He looks over and says, “oh that’s Neko she just moved here from some where, I don’t know where though.” as I walk toward her I hear a scream, spinning around I see shadows all across the wall start to move. Everyone around me starts to run away but I can’t seem to move. The shadows on the walls move to the ground in front of me and rise up. “this can’t be happening,” I think as they start to approach me. As I take a step back I hear in my head “awaken mighty dreamer your destiny is here, take up your blade and fight!” I shake my head. More shadows appear as I look up and grin. I hold up my hand. Flash! The eternal flame appears in a flash of light. I get into my fighting stance as the shadows step back from me. “game on” I say gripping the handle, and just like in my dream blue flames engulf the weapon. One of the shadows drop from the ceiling. I roll to the right and cut it in two. Another leaps at me from behind. I do a back flip and land on it causing it to disappear in a puff of smoke. that’s when all hell broke lose.
