RACE IN MY COMMUNITY

This assignment was truly an exciting one for me.   For the first time in a long while, I took the opportunity to sit back, observe and really explore the impact of race in my community.   I have to say, my view of racial differences in my community has not really changed that much.   I personally am not someone that focuses on race, religion, or ethnic background when forming my opinion about a person I just met.   Also, being an active member of my community, I can say without reservation that the vast majority of people in my city as well as our community leaders feel the same as I do.   So far, the people of my town have, in my opinion, done better that most of the country when it comes to judging a person on their merits and personal fortitude than on their ethnic background.   I am very happy with where I live and plan on continuing to raise my family here.
