TITLE: PINEAPPLE’S SKIN AS FOOT SCRUB

INTRODUCTION
Pineapple contains enzymes that make skin elastic, improve skin hydration, and remove damaged and dead cells. Thus, it helps us achieve a clear and glowing complexion. The enzymes in pineapples also fight free-radical damage and can reduce age spots and fine lines. Do you want to get all the health benefits of eating pineapple along with the best nutritional supplements out there?  Its used by thousands of medical professionals in the USA. Pineapple contains a unique blend of the exotic nut extracts that rapidly hydrate the skin and the lock in the moisture. Milk proteins reduce the appearance of the fine lines, while soy and passionflower gently soothe and the calm stressed skin.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
Bromelain is actually a group of enzymes in pineapple, known as proteolytic enzymes because they digest protein. For centuries civilizations have used pineapple to treat indigestion and reduce inflammation. Germany approved bromelain to treat swelling and inflammation after surgery as far back as the 1800s. Bromelain is also used to treat infection and injuries. “This antitumoral effect [bromelain] was superior to that of 5-FU [5-fluorouracil], whose survival index was approximately 263 %, relative to the untreated control.”

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Pineapples are really very strange things. It would probably be reasonably easy to write a whole book, albeit a small one, containing things that most people don’t know about the spiky topped fruit. The Bromelain enzyme in pineapples breaks down proteins. This means that you can use pineapple or pineapple juice as a meat tenderiser. The same Bromelain enzyme means that you can’t put fresh pineapple in jelly, because it breaks down the gelatine. You can stop this from happening by boiling the chunks of pineapple in their juice or in water for a few minutes, or you can use canned pineapple.
