Introduction
We are living in the Era of Information where the information technology is playing the leading role all over the world; we should accept that this technology is ruling the world. Individuals, Corporations, Governments and every sector of the society are influenced by IT. Process of evolution in this industry is very fast and we are bound to follow its way. The days have gone when the use of PCs was very limited now children in prep are playing with computerised games.

In such a scenario one can imagine the importance of utilizing the advanced IT tools. Integration of different business functions of an organization was challenge for IT and it met the challenge. ERP systems provided the solution to the integration problem and now the corporations are in a better position with reference to their reporting, and decision making process. Decisions of the management frame the future on organizations and it was difficult to make proper decisions depending on a decentralized information system. ERPs and decision support systems resolved this problem and now by using these systems, applications the right and timely decisions could be made more conveniently.

Enterprise System
Enterprise systems are integration of application software that shares a common database, data/information transmission media. Using a common database data is processed, analyzed and needed valuable reports are produced and communicated to management for decision making purposes. Enterprise systems are packaged application soft wares including ERP, SCM, CRM etc. all these applications are integrated to build an information system. (Kotler 234)

Supply Chain Management (SCM)
