Educational systems are the foundations of knowledge for our youth. Five of the major foci facing parents when they are making this major decision regarding the education of their children are money, classroom and school environment, extra curricular offerings by the school, and religious affiliation of the educational institution. Money can become a major factor due to the costs of private school in addition to the taxes that residents pay to the local school districts. Classroom and school environments are a major factor because parents have to decide what type of environment they feel will foster the educational spirit of their children. Another issue surrounding this topic is the extra-curricular activities that are offered, at what level, and at what frequency these activities are offered. Finally is the consideration of a religious backing in the child’s education.
