Education has taken a serious hit in funding and seriousness in the past ten years. These days it seems to me like people are just getting more and more selfish. The upper class is simply not worried about education taking cuts in private schools. They have no worry because all of their children attend the nice, rich private schools. Dr. Ward lectured to me last semester, “the level education in private schools may be a bit better then public schools but not by much.” After he told me this I was very confused and kept asking myself why do they pay all this extra money? Then Dr. Ward explained to us that all of these students and their parents do this because of the great connections that they meet while attending private schools. All of the upper class, people with political power, or economically well people go to private schools. After being informed about this I have wanted to write an essay about how private schools differ from public ones and that is what I will be focusing in on the next paragraphs.

Though, most public schools are administered by local governments, the overall funding is contributed by the local, state and federal governments. Private schools are under the control of a private body or a charitable trust.
In the United States, public school education is more common than private education, and about 90 percent of children attend public schools. Basically, there are three stages in a public school, namely, primary or elementary school, middle school or junior high school and high school or secondary school. The policies for each stage are set by the board members, elected under local jurisdiction.
