It teaches students to think clearly, reason well and strategize effectively. Mental Mathematics is the ability to utilise mathematical skills to solve problems mentally. Mental math requires quick thinking and the student must solve the problem in their minds whereas in regular mathematics, the problem can be solved visually. Therefore, teachers should take these factors into consideration while testing and marking students in these areas.’

1. CASE HISTORY/ CASE STUDY/ CLINICAL METHOD
Definition:
A case study is an in-depth study of one person. Much of Freud's work and theories were developed through individual case studies.
Explanation:
It is sometimes very helpful to study one person (or a very small group of people) in great depth to learn as much information as possible. This method is particularly useful in studying rare disorders or circumstances.
Examples:
A. Studying the life history of a man who acquired schizophrenia at the age of 20.
B. Following one child from conception to adulthood to examine this lifespan development.
Types of Case Studies:
Explanatory: Used to do causal investigations.
Exploratory: A case study that is sometimes used as a prelude to further, more in-depth research. This allows researchers to gather more information before developing their research questions and hypotheses.
Descriptive: Involves starting with a descriptive theory. The subjects are then observed and the information gathered is compared to the pre-existing theory.

According to Trochim, “Descriptive statistics are used to describe the basic features of the data in a study. They provide simple summaries about the sample and the measures. Together with simple graphics analysis, they form the basis of virtually every quantitative analysis of data” (Trochim, 2006). For many years, many studies and researches have been done in real estate market. Buyers need to conduct researches to decide which house they will purchase. Buyers’ concerns include the price of the house, the number of bedrooms, and location. Real estate agents need to gather all the necessary information to provide their services to buyers. Additionally, the agents must be able to predict what types of houses are most likely to sell. In this paper, I will provide the summary of what I have been studying. The paper will include the measure of central tendency, dispersion, and skew for data. In addition, this paper will also contain graphic data as well as tabular data to demonstrate my findings and studies. REFLECTION
The first thing that puffs in my mind when I heard the word STATISTIC is that it was a very hard subject because it is another branch of mathematics that will make my head or brain bleed of thinking of how I will handle it. I have learned that statistic is a branch of mathematics concerned with the study of information that is expressed in numbers, for example information about the number of times something happens. As I examined on what the statement says, the phrase “number of times something happens” really caught my attention because my subconscious says “here we go again the non-stop solving, analyzing of problems” and I was right. This course of basic statistic has provided me with the analytical skills to crunch numerical data and to make inference from it. At first I thought that I will be alright all along with this subject but it seems that just some part of it maybe it is because I don’t pay much of my attention to it but I have learned many things. I have learned my lesson.
During our every session in this subject before having our midterm examination I really had hard and bad times in coping up with this subject. When we have our very first quiz I thought that I would fail it but it did not happen but after that, my next quizzes I have taken I failed. Research and statics play a very important role in psychology. Research allows psychologists to gather necessary information and come up with a scientific theory. Outside of psychology world, a theory is just a guess, but when a theory is established in psychology or scientific world – it is a model that can be tested and observed.
Statistics is important in psychology for reasons of how the research is collected. Statistics help with learning about the subject being researched and placing found information in appropriate category. By categorizing data, psychologists are able to perform the research needed to conduct the observational studies in order to come up with a theory.
Because psychology is not an exact science – it makes it more difficult to theorize and test those theories. People are not as predictable which makes it difficult to determine future behaviors or thoughts. People interact with their environment and if one variable changes it could drastically change outcomes for future as well.
