Psychic Reading
I have always been curious to sit down with a psychic to find out what my reading would be, at the same time nervous and scared that I would find out something disappointing, so I avoided going.

Me and my boyfriend Nasi went downtown last month to go shopping, as we walked down the street in downtown center city, we came across “Tina’s Psychic Reading”, on the corner of 7th & market. Nasi grabbed my hand “let’s go in”, I hesitated saying “no, I’m nervous, I’m not ready. Nasi looks at me laughing, “said you always wanted to go, so here we are, come on! I finally sighed giving in.

As we entered we walked up some steps, looking around this place reminded me of a home and felt very comfortable and welcoming. A lady in a long burgundy dress, with a long beaded necklace draping down to the middle of her stomach, greeted us. “Hello, my name is Tina, what can I do for you today? I replied, “I would like a reading done”. Tina smiled, “great come this way and have a seat”. I walked over slowly, I sat down looking at her. “What is your name”? Tina asks, “Jazmynn”, I replied. “Ok Jazmynn would you like for me to read your palms or the terror cards”? Tina asked. Undecided I paused for a few seconds to think, then told Tina that I would like for her to read my palms.

“Ok hold out both your hands towards me”, Tina said. I placed both hands out in front of her, the first thing she read was that she sees an operation, and that the line in my hand represents a past or future operation, that made me worried. Tina continued on telling me about my future, “I see you having two careers and being financially good”, Tina says, “It has something to do with music, although I can’t tell what your second career will be.” That was very interesting she knew that because I’ve been singing since I was young and music has always been a passion. Tina went on saying that she also sees a marriage and two kids, boy and girl, when Tina told me that I was happy. The room became silent for

As a professed Christian, I have often been guilty of looking at horoscopes and once for a lark, going to a psychic. However; even when I was indulging in each of these activities I felt a little squeamish. I was taught to believe that God alone knows our futures. By reading the horoscopes and going to the psychic, I was not being true to my religious convictions. As Christians, we have to be careful to stay away from anything that opposes biblical teaching. When we indulge in something that is superstitious it…

For some reason, I kept fiddling with my fingers, I was really nervous to see him. We took the exit 31A and we all shifted to the left since it was a sharp turn to the right. My big sister, Maisie, was on my shoulder and we shifted her head fell on my lap. She woke up and asked where we were. “We are almost there Maisie” my Dad said. We stopped at the traffic light and I fiddled with my fingers some more. “Stop fiddling with your fingers!” Maisie whispered to me. In my head, I say “I can’t, he is the first boy of the family, the first! Besides me!” I stopped fiddling and looked at the huge structure in front of me, The Holy Cross Hospital.…

I was closing in behind her as she reached the crosswalk. She started to cross, of course I followed. After we crossed the street, she walked for awhile, then she sat down on a communal bench. “May I sit here?” I asked. “Of course,” she replied. A minute or two later, she asked “You look familiar, do I know you?” I stated who I was. Everything clicked after that. We started talking about the old days when nothing really matters. I lost track of time, we sat there for what seemed like minutes. Only to find out it had been a couple hours. We exchanged phone numbers, I told her to keep in touch. We went our separate ways, I called a cab and went back to my…

There are many types of psychic phenomena that exist. In this paper, I will discuss that of the psychic medium. On November 13th I made a trip to the “Dr. Loves Erotic Superstore” sex shop in Pacific beach. I chose this particular sex shop because I work in PB and I passed by it plenty of times and have always wondered what it was like inside. This is my 2nd time visiting a sex shop, first time was years back with my ex-boyfriend, and it was an uncomfortable and shocking experience because I was never surrounded by so many sexual objects and pornographic images. This time I invited my best friend to go with me since I felt like it would be very awkward and uncomfortable for me to go in alone.…

I was terrible with talking to almost anyone except for friends and family. The thought of making small talk with strangers frightened me more than accidentally stepping on a sharp tack. Heidi, Sean’s mom, responded with a simple “okay” to then lead us to an open table. Looking for the next table, she noticed a nearly empty table with only a couple and some familiar Leos members. The couple was old, but they had a welcoming sort of appeal to me. The woman had blonde, almost white, hair while the man had plain white hair. Both spouses had…
