Proposal for Final Project
PROPOSAL FOR FINAL PROJECT
Background
This is my answer to the Week 5 which is the starting week for the Module Three Final Project. I will be using diverse sources of knowledge and information including real life experience, text books, class discussions, journals and publications both hard copy; and where available and on the internet. I will be doing an original review and analysis in the final project.
Proposal
This week however, I will be submitting a proposal for the final project. This proposal will include a given topic, the type or nature of the problem, the source of the information to be used for the analyses and the ‘concepts and techniques to be applied”. This assignment is partially restricted since a case study has already been provided while I am expected to do a comparative analysis of the processes and techniques of the given supply chain company – The Thai Asparagus Cool Cargo Company and another different supply chain company – different in problems, challenges and outcome. The second company I will use will be such that I have either worked for or any other company whose supply chain I can research in sufficient details and write about even if it is web based. I will most likely pick question one of the five provided, “Explain the nature of the business and the special problems and challenges it poses for logistics”. The final determination of which exact company I will use and the question I will answer will depend on the feedback from my instructor and the available resources or information I can collect during the course of my literature review.
Tentative Topic: Analysis and comparison of the Supply Chain Processes and Techniques of Thai Asparagus Cool Cargo and Company XYZ – their Problems, Challenges and Outcomes.
Benefits
The most important benefit of the presenting this proposal for proposed project is that it is going to help me to know the mind of the Instructor; that is, the areas he wants to guide me in writing the final
