Unit: Promotional developments As a professional Artist it is important that you consider how you would like to market and portray yourself for others to see you and your work. There are many different social media websites that you can utilise which will help market yourself as a professional Make-up Artist. The power of the internet is a worldwide system we all share and enables us to contact almost anybody if we wanted to, via email to most recent social media sites such as instagram which has come from new technology in mobile phones called apps. because the internet is such a large source it doesn’t always work to our benefit, so you have to make sure that when you are liaising with others regarding work that they are relatively close to travel to. The internet is best used as a platform for connecting and creating customer engagement and interactivity with those of a similar interest to you, you may want to engage others in collaborative photo shoots and other work means. A key process, if you are using the internet to promote yourself in a professional way, you should approach many updates in a formal manner, a strong respectable reputation is important to build and to keep.

You tube is an online communications site which allows for registered users to upload and have available for the public their videos for viewing. Since 2005 you tube has been available to internet users, many saw this as an open opportunity to promote themselves. Make-up Artists would upload videos applying there make-up skills and techniques to themselves. It’s a great way to reach the public and become known as a Make-up Artist, those who are interested will follow.
