Title: The effects of Industrial pollution to the world
Introduction
Industrial pollution is pollution which can be directly linked with industry, in contrary to other pollution sources, like the air, water, and chemical pollutions. Industrial pollution began when our country went through the Industrial Revolution. This form of pollution is one of the leading causes of pollution worldwide; in the United States, for instance, the Environmental Protective Agency estimates that up to 50% of the nation's pollution is summoned by industry. Because of its size and framework, industrial pollution is a grave problem for the whole planet, especially in nations which are briskly industrializing, like China. The Industrial Revolution mechanized means of production, permitting for a much greater dimension of production, and causing a corresponding magnification in pollution. The problem was entangled by the use of fuels like coal, which is notoriously unclean, and a poor understanding of the causes and consequences of pollution. Big cities with steel mills, power plants, heating plants, or railroad stations feel the direct effects of industrial pollution. The smog, smell, and contamination of food or water are some direct effects. Remote areas of the world are affected indirectly by industrial pollution. Even though the people in these communities may not live near any factories, plants, etc. they still are affected. Of course not only in China, also in Kazakhstan we can see this troubles. For instance, few days ago I saw that some people from my micro region are not throwing the garbage to the trash, and throw them to there, where comfortable for them, and with this pollutes the streets. However it is normal than throw the sweepings from balcony. Also when I was in my village I saw that people there throw theirs rubbish to the watercourse, because there according to them they do not have any dustbin. Because the government are not trying to stop these incidents. That is why there we have water pollution too. I image that in future the pollutions will increase day by day. Because with the help of technology we are developing. Also nowadays we have so many factories and companies, which are trying to continue this process. That is why I think that everyone in the world should know this problems and then understand the importance of the problem, because it is everyone’s responsibility to save the nature. Body part
Primarily I would like to say about what problems from pollution we have. There are a number of forms of industrial pollution. Firstly, one of the most common is water pollution, caused by dumping of industrial waste into waterways, or improper containment of waste, which causes leakage into groundwater and waterways. Industrial pollution can also impact air quality, and it can enter the soil, causing widespread environmental problems. Secondly, Industrial pollution hurts the environment in a range of ways, and it has a negative impact on human lives and health. Pollutants can kill animals and plants, imbalance ecosystems, degrade air quality radically, damage buildings, and generally degrade quality of life. Thirdly, according to the scientists of USA pollution is one of the biggest global killers, affecting over 100 million people. That’s comparable to global diseases like malaria and HIV. 14 billion pounds of garbage are dumped into the ocean every year. Plastic is the major constituent. Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution every year. People who live in places with high levels of air pollutants have a 20% higher risk of death from lung cancer than people who live in less-polluted areas.
Also I took some facts about pollution in the world:
More than 1 billion people worldwide don’t have access to safe drinking water.
5000 people die every day as a result of drinking unclean water. Approximately 46% of the lakes in America are extremely polluted and hence risky for swimming, fishing and aquatic life.
United States produces 30% of the world’s waste and uses 25 % of the world’s natural resources.
Children contribute to only 10% of the world’s pollution but are prone to 40% of global disease.
More than 3 million kids under the age of 5 years die every year due to environmental factors like pollution.
China is the world’s largest producer of carbon dioxide and United States is number two.
Almost 80% of urban waste in India is dumped in the river Ganges.
There are more than 500 million cars in the world and by 2030 the number will rise to 1 billion. This means pollution level will be more than double.
Pollution was once thought to be the inevitable price of modernization and industrialization. Today, efforts to reduce environmental pollution are slowly gaining momentum.
First of all, existing laws and regulations aimed at reducing pollution should be strictly enforced. Toxic waste and fumes from industries are among the major causes of pollution. Instead of indiscriminate dumping of waste and unchecked emission of toxic fumes, industries should be equipped with proper waste-treatment systems. The move towards installing catalytic converters and using lead-free petrol is also commendable, as exhaust fumes from vehicles contribute greatly to air pollution. The Department of Environment and the Road Transport Department, respectively, should ensure that industries and vehicle owner comply with environmental regulations. Never throw rubbish away anyhow. Always look for the correct waste bin. If there is none around, please take it home and put it in your trash can. This includes places like the beach, riverside and water bodies.
Another important step to curb pollution is to educate the public on the effects of pollution and how they can help protect the environment. Many people are still ignorant of the effects on the environment due to the use of materials such as aerosol sprays, which destroy the ozone layer, or disposable plastic products, which are virtually indestructible. Many people also do not know that plastic, glass and paper can be recycled and thus prevent pollution by reducing waste. when the public is better informed, efforts to reduce pollution will be more effective. That's why, we should invite the students to the gathering. Maybe you think “Why the student?” Because the students are our new generation, which will create our future.
Use water wisely. Do not keep the tap running when not in use. Also, you can reduce the amount of water you use in washing and bathing. If we all do this, we can significantly prevent water shortages and reduce the amount of dirty water that needs treatment.
Lastly, we should buy environmentally safe products and these should be reasonably priced to be attractive to the average consumer. For example, not many consumers are aware of the existence of biodegradable products and their benefits in cutting down environmental pollution. furthermore, many consumers who would be interested in buying recycled or environmentally friendly products are put off by the high prices charged for them. As such, there should be more encouragement for consumers to buy environmentally friendly products.
Conclusion
To conclude, pollution causes unexpected and sometimes serious and devastating changes in our land, river and sea environments. Pollution can kill animals and plants and it probably kills us too. Polluting our world should not even be an option, especially where there are alternatives as there are these days. Plus, where we consider that we have no other choice other than to pollute, we should be investigating as best we can alternatives to the technology that pollutes. Also reducing pollution requires efforts by all parties concerned the government, industries and consumers. Stricter control, more public awareness and reasonable pricing for 'green' products will all help in reducing pollution in the country. I am very glad you want to take action, too. Luckily, many of the steps we can take to stop climate change can make our lives better. Our grandchildren-and their children-will thank us for living more sustainably. Hopefully this project work has been able to give you, the reader, more insight on some of the possible solutions to environmental problems. Please people be activity on helping to reduce the amount of pollution in our world. Let's stop polluting and clean up our world.
