EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The need of the training programmes in any organization is to enhance the skills of the employees so that the performance of the company can be increased. The quality of the programmes can lead to higher motivation and satisfaction amongst employees.

The quality of the programmes depends on Topic, Its Content, Learning Objective, Preparation, Interest level of the participants per say, turn up ratio, communication and above all the trainers themselves.

The competency of the trainers makes the programmes more successful than any other factors. The knowledge base of the trainers, their expertise in training, training delivery skill, Content designing, Communication & presentation, Facilitation skill all make trainers competent and training programme successful.

Competency is very vast subject matter which in turn is the combination of knowledge, Skills and Attitude. The same can be applied to trainers imparting training Programmes. This project is an attempt to impirically study the competency of the trainers imparting technical, cane, function and behavioral training. Through this project we will come across competent trainers and trainer those need further inputs in terms of increasing knowledge base and technical expertise. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

First of all, I would like to express my profound indebtedness to Mr. Karan Singh (Unit Head) who provided me with this valuable opportunity to undergo summer training in MAWANA SUGAR LTD.
