Abstract
We were given the assignment to do some research on three careers that we plan to do after we finish completing our major. What I’m majoring in is accounting because I like doing things that deals with numbers. I’m not sure which career path I plan on pursuing but I believe I will be able to decide after doing this research. While reading this paper you will see the difference between the three careers I have chosen. I will be talking about the different job requirements, duties, yearly salaries, responsibilities, experiences, and education requirements. You will also see two graphs that will show salaries of different job positions.

My career choice is accounting and I’m not sure which job I want to take. But I will most likely do a payroll or tax job to get me started and motivated to go higher.   If I decide to take the tax job, I would try my best to make it as a senior tax manager, which is a yearly salary of $120,000(Indeed, 2011). The qualities I would definitely need for this career is communication skills, reliability, and decision making. I know need to work on making decisions because I second guess myself when I’m not sure it’s the right answer or not. I’m not all the way prepared for my profession at the moment but I will continue to practice on it so I will know how to do my future job.
I learned that there are a lot of paths I can take in the accounting field. When I did some research on different accounting jobs I found out that   being an accountant is one of the most important jobs that any big or small company would need in order to keep their business going. The salary for any accounting job I choose would be $36,000-$121,000 per year or more as the years go by (Indeed, 2011). My strengths are self-motivation and flexible.
