Establishment of UiTM Kota Bharu Campus

City Campus is the brainchild of the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, Dato 'Seri Vice Chancellor and Campus Director to increase the number of students in UiTM, UiTM Kelantan particular. It is in line with the government's desire to be able to accommodate 200,000 UiTM students in the future. In this regard, the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia has agreed to approve an additional allocation of RM10 million for the establishment of this City Campus.

Establishment of UiTM City Campus has been announced by the Minister of Higher Education, YB Dato 'Mustapa Mohamed on October 18, 2006 and the first session of study began in July 2007. Establishment of City Campus is taking a number of criteria including location in the city of Kota Bharu and should be strategic for the purpose of image enhancement.

Following the announcement, a City Campus Establishment Committee, chaired by the Director of Campus was formed. The Committee comprises the heads of divisions and units in UiTM Kelantan.Wisma KUB has 4 floors with a total floor area of ​​24,522.75 square feet was chosen as the temporary campus of UiTM City Campus or official name of Universiti Teknologi MARA Kelantan, Kota Bharu Campus.

In 2008, the Executive Committee, University Technology Malaysia approve the rental 2 blocks of 3 floors with a total floor area of ​​19.200 square feet that have been in operation in July 2009. WELCOME TO UiTM POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kota Bharu Campus is a city campus of UiTM Kelantan. We are the 9th state campus within the UiTM system and our university is among Malaysia's premier public institution of higher learning that has experienced a phenomenal growth since its inception in 1956. The university’s formation is based on a vision of outstanding scholarship and academic excellence that is capable of providing leadership in all fields of internationally recognized professional study. During these years of growth, UiTM has built on the educational infrastructure to a level comparable to many international universities. UiTM Kota Bharu Campus through its postgraduate programmes offers variety of studies that are designed to meet individual needs and preferences. These programmes are structured with an interdisciplinary approach that covers both the 'depth and breadth' with the course work framework providing the necessary theoretical content for managerial functions. On the other hand the thesis requirement emphasizing both academic as well as industry research, depending on candidates’ professional experience and preferences.

Information Technology (InfoTech)

Unit Information System (USMT) is one of the main unit responsible for managing the facilities and ICT infrastructure on the campus of UiTM Kelantan Kota Bharu Campus. The unit is placed under the administration, but from May 2009 it was placed under the Division of Academic Affairs. USMT Kota Bharu Campus has two sections, namely, sections ICT and AV section. ICT facilities include computer equipment, network facilities either wired or wireless and computer labs for teaching and learning. While section AV facilities consist of preparation of audio and recording facilities as well as photographers for any activity here.

In 2012, Information Systems Unit (USMT) has changed its name to the Information Technology (InfoTech) in line with the new restructuring of the Integrated Information System Centre (PSMB) Shah Alam to the Office of Information Technology (InfoTech).

On July 25, 2011 equal to 23 Sya'aban 1432, the use of the name of the Office of Information Technology or simply InfoTech has been approved by the Executive Committee of UiTM to replace the Integrated Information System Center PSMB.
