The Process Essay: How to make steak, mashed potatoes and green beans Growing up I was a very independent child. I always wanted to learn to do things for myself. When I was about seven or eight, I learned how to make steak. It instantly became my favorite food. Along the years I’ve gotten better at making steak and many other foods. One of my favorite dishes to make is green beans, mashed potatoes and of course steak. It is simple to make and requires little preparation. It is very important to have all the ingredients before you start to prep and cook your meal. You will need: two pans, four potatoes, steak, one can of green beans, one pot, a potato peeler, can opener, pepper, garlic, seasoned meat tenderizer, onion and garlic powder, vegetable oil, butter, milk, salt, chives, and a standing mixer with a rotating bowl. Once you have all of that you can start to peel the potatoes. After you have done this, you can fill the pot up with water and bring it to a boil. You can now add the potatoes and let it cook for about twenty minutes until they are cooked thoroughly. You can tell if they are finished if you can stick a fork easily through them. You then drain the water from the pot and put the potatoes in the standing mixer. The standing mixer makes it easier to whip the potatoes and they come out with no lumps. After you have whipped the potatoes, you can put them into a smaller pot and turn on the stove. Now you add a cup of milk, sprinkle some pepper and salt into the pot, and add 3 to 4 table spoons of butter. You also add some chives for flavor and mix all the contents all together. Lastly you reduce the heat and cover your finished product. Now you can move on to the steak. First you cut the steak into pieces and place it into a bowl to be cleaned. You run it under hot water to get rid of any bacteria. After draining the dirty water, you start to season the steak. The seasonings you will use are pepper, meat tenderizer, garlic, and onion and

Chef Thomas Keller is known very well for his sous-vide cooking techniques. Today we used this technique in the carrots and the beef tenderloin we season them and put them in the bag. It gave the carrots a more vivid color and a concentrated flavor. the macaroni cheese was very interesting technique to have it was very complex making the broth and cooking the poor lobster I felt bad for it, getting killed by savage students, but the outcome was delicious. The almond cake was very moist and delicious in the inside had losts of flavor and it was very good. The strawberries were cooked slowly until the sugar form a syrup and then chilled. Laundry is a daily chore that must be done. I do not know of anyone who enjoys the daily ritual of cleaning clothes but with a few easy steps it does not have to be such a hassle. There is also some pre-planning steps you can take that will save you time and frustration. The first and most important step in the laundry process is to be prepared. Make sure you have all the supplies you need to get the job done before you get started. You will need laundry detergent. You can buy powder or liquid detergent, but I prefer liquid because powder detergent does not always dissolve completely and you can substitute liquid detergent for stain remover in a pinch. You will also need a stain remover, such as Shout, and bleach. Bleach now comes in a color safe version so you can use it on all your clothes, not just whites. I also recommend using a liquid fabric softener in the wash but you will need sheets for the dryer as well. Most washing machines have a place to put it or you can buy a ball that goes in the washer and releases the fabric softener at the right time. Also, you will need a basket for your dirty clothes to go in.. I keep several so I can sort them as they get dirty instead of digging through one basket to get a load. Once you have all your supplies you are ready to start. Depending on what you are washing you will need to adjust the setting on your washer. For example towels can be washed on heavy duty but finer linens such as silks need a more delicate setting. Start the washer and add the detergent and any bleach as the water begins to fill. If you do not already have your laundry separated in baskets, you will need to go through everything to get a load ready. Like colors and fabrics…

Whoever said life was going to be easy, the sooner everyone learns that the better off they will be. Life in itself is very stressful, but when you throw in being a wife, mother, student and employee it’s almost too much to bear. In order to deal with everything I must do I have a calendar with everything on it and how much time needs to be spent. Now, where should I begin? I’m a wife and therefore I must make sure my husband has clean work clothes and food for work. We all know how men don’t like to do their own laundry or cook. At least my husband doesn’t like to. Don’t get me started on trying to keep my house clean with him and my animals, it’s like a tornado hits this place just about every other day. Dirty dishes, clothes, cat toys, food, cat litter anything you can just about think of. I also feed and clean up after the animals; I have five cats inside, two chameleons, and a cat outside. I must wake up every morning at 7 AM to feed them. I’m their mother now so they all depend on me. If all that is not enough I must also work for a living. I clean a local movie theater in my town. I’ll tell you right now, if everything I deal with at home isn’t stressful enough when I get to work and walk through those doors the stress slaps me in the face. I just don’t understand how people can be so nasty. The restrooms are another story, they are so gross. I have never realized how dirty and inconsiderate people really are and that makes my life stressful when I have to pick up after all them. With all that being said I how could I possibly find any time to do my school work but I always seem to do it. It’s very hard to do daily things then try and set down to do homework, especially the section I’m doing now with writing. I get so stressed out because I get very aggravated when I try and write because I’m not good at it. It seems to take me forever to get it done and that makes me just want to throw the pen and paper down and quit. But I seem to figure out a way to get…

I start by adding a little extra virgin oil added to the pan. Setting the stove to medium heat, then begin by forming the patties into mildly thick disk shapes. Make sure not to press into them too hard as to not ruin the cheeseburger. Leave a small indentation in the top of the burger to help keep the juices in. Cooking each side for about four to five minutes you should only need to flip the patties about four times. Use a pan lid to help hasten the cooking process. While cooking, prepare your plates with buns and condiments. Once the meat is cooked add cheese and let it melt. Carefully place the meat on the prepared buns, serve and enjoy.…

Once they are done we strain them and set them aside. We then move on to the chorizo, which we cook in a deep skillet with a drop of oil. After about 6 minutes we add the potato to the cooked chorizo, mix it all together to make a chorizo flavored potato topping. The next step is to make a spicy tomato sauce, which always turns into a friendly argument when deciding whether to make it hot or mild. Personally I like it mild, but unfortunately my family out numbers me. First we gather about 8 tomatoes and boil them. Once they are done, we strain them put them in the blender along with small chopped up pieces of onions, a couple of pinches of cumin, half a clove of garlic, a pinch of oregano, and about four pinches of salt or to your taste. Once we have put all the ingredients in the blender, we mix everything and pour it into a pan with a drop of oil. We let it sit for a couple of minutes, when the sauce starts to thicken, we add a drop of chili vinegar turn the flame off and our sauce is…
