Would you like to take a class offered by a class on the other side of the country without leaving the comfort of your home? You can! But, before you enroll in online learning or also known as distance education course, ask yourself what are the problems faced by the beginning online learners? You might be surprised. Online Learning or as known as Distance Learning is a process of creating and provides access to learning when the source of information and the learner are separate by distance and time. Green Berg (1998) defines contemporary distance learning as “a planned teaching/learning experience that uses a wide spectrum of technologies to reach learners at a distance and is designed to encourage learner interaction and certification of learning. Desmond Keegan (1995) gives the most through definition. He says that distance education and training result from the technological separation of teacher and learner which frees the student from the necessity of traveling to “a fixed place, at a fixed time, to meet a fixed person, in order to be trained”. There are three main problems that might faced the beginning online learners such as, time management, stress and self motivation during learning. However, there are also three practical suggestions on ways to reduce or eliminate those problems that faced beginning online learners includes, the ways to manage your time effectively, manage your stress and how to build or to create the self motivation to make sure that you are always good way to go or in your online learning.

In spite of being extremely busy, you don’t seem to be achieving anything worth while. Inside, you don’t feel satisfied, only annoyed and disturbed: a sure sign of poor stress and time management.
* You never have enough time
You don’t find time for anything – be it important matters, leisure or affairs of the personal life.
