1 – Explain reasons for change in a business environment.
Businesses change for different reasons, these could be internal or external reasons. Internal factors could include reasons such as a need to reduce costs from staffing or resources, the need to provide an improved service or improve ineffective systems and practices. At times it could be due to the need to raise capital. External factors would include keeping up with competitors in the service provided and react to changes in demand or new markets. Economic changes which affect customers’ needs or also changes in regulations such as health and safety.

2 – Identify reasons why these may be reviewed when a business is undergoing change. Working methods: Working methods will be reviewed to assess methods that aren’t working or that could be changed or improved. Products: Products will need to be reviewed to ensure they are still fit for the purpose or if in fact other products...
