Preventive Health Care
Preventative Health Care Plan

If I was to create a preventative health care plan the activities choices that I would advise people to follow would be start a thirty minutes exercise program. The program should be done at least 3-4 times per week. I would tell them to start at a slow pace if they are not used to exercise. I would also suggest that they get a physical for health purpose. I would also suggest that they try to exercise at the same time each day so that they can have a good routine. The exercise program should consist of aerobic exercises, strength and balancing exercise and most important relaxation exercises. Aerobic exercises can be nothing more than a 10-15 minute walk each day. You should make sure that you have the perfect walking shoes with a good support sole. Another good aerobic exercise is swimming, yoga and bicycling. A 20-30 minute swimming workout program is always a good start. This is good for your legs. Yoga exercise is good because it can your mind, your body, and your spirit. The lifestyle changes choice I would advise people to follow would be a good health food plan and getting plenty of rest. A good health food plan should consist of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products, lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts , saturated fats, trans fat, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars. I would advise to get at least 6-8hours of sleep per night. Another lifestyle change would be if you are a smoker or an alcoholic, to get into a program to stop. I try to follow this program for my own life but it does not work out all the time for me. I have a lot of obstacles that stand in my way. The obstacles are work, school and my children. But I am going to change that because my health is now in the best of shape. I am a diabetic, with pre-hypertension symptoms. I have acid reflux and I do not exercise anymore nor do I get enough rest at nigt.

Choosing the right exercise program is the easiest part. If you like the outdoors then walking may be the right choice. “A brisk Walk is nearly the perfect exercise” (“Health Prescription” 2001). Dr. Mason explains in Harvard’s Women’s magazine, stretching before any exercise is important (“Health Prescription” 2001). She says, walking can be done in many different ways and the most effective way is a long thirty-minute walk (“health Prescription). If walking is not intense enough then cardio is a good choice. “When it comes to fitness fads that have swept across America over the past 50 years, cardio is the king” (Newsome 2012). A good form of cardio is running. “ Do you love the feel of running in the great outdoors yet worry about the bad press that running sometimes gets. There are precautions you can take” (Carerra 2012). “Running allows you to be connected with your thoughts and the increased heart rate and endorphin response of recruiting your entire body into the movement is uplifting, invigorating, addictive”( Carerra 2012).…

The changes that I need to do to become in a total wellness program are my eating habits and physical fitness. More homemade food is better and that means also foods that can be made from scratch and not pre-made. There are so many short cuts people can take now with spices, but they contain so much salt. My mother and grandmother were very good at making food from scratch. The taste is extremely different and it is so much healthier to be able to control what goes into one’s food. The second thing is to get a regular exercise schedule and a set time to do exercise. Those are the major changes that need to be made in my life.…

Healthcare consist of a variety of specialized services to meet each patient’s needs. In order to provide the best patient care, it is important for each provider to have the tools and resources that is needed to improve the patient’s health. The industry is broken down into different organizations as it is difficult for one provider to render all aspects of services. Providers have to be credentialed and licensed to treat different type of illnesses and diseases. If one goes to their primary care physician due to a broken foot, he typically would refer the patient to see an Orthopedist, who specializes in broken bones. Healthcare organizations are the same way, not one facility cannot treat all diagnosis.…
