This observation took place in the three to five rooms. There were 12 children between the ages of three and five; 4 were girls and 8 were boys. All the children looked like they enjoyed being there they all got a lone and knew everyone by name, there had their own groups that they liked to play with as well as running around with other groups. Teacher 1 was a women who looked in her later 30’s she has been working at that child center for five years, and teacher 2 looked as if she was in her later 40’s and has been working at that child center for 8 years.
When I arrived all the children but one was sitting at the table trying pita bread and hummus. One little girl was still sleeping. They all were not to excited to try something new Boy “stripped” was asking so many questions about the hummus and if the made different flavors like cherry and banana he enjoyed his hummus greatly. Though Girl “pink” did not enjoy her hummus but did eat a lot of the pita bread. About five minutes after I arrived Girl “green” finally woke up. She brushed her hair out of her face got herself up sat in a chair and eat till her tummy hurt her. After the kids got done eating Boy “gray” decided he would help everyone clear there plates they have two big bins, one for the food and water and one for the plates and cups and they children did exactly. After the kids clean off their plates Boy “gray, star, stripped, and button” go right for the train set. And Boy “yellow” goes right for his cubby that has his woody toy. Girl “purple” come right up to me twirls her hair and licks the rest of the hummus off her lips and asks me my name. I tell her and she runs off grabs a puzzle and plays at my feet. I found out later in the day that there gym was closed for the day because Boy “gray, and striped” did not want to clean up their toys. Girl “pink” comes up to me as studies me as a write about her.
