For a healthy political environment, it is important that at least two political parties are competing on the same ground, with same kind of political strength, along with competing development policies. Coming elections, like all others prior to them, will see a mess of parties created by irrelevant rants, slogans, and blame games. No party, except the new emerging PTI has given any kind of program or policy for future of Pakistan. When asked in one talk show, Asif Ali Zardari, the President of Pakistan, who happens to be co-chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP, a political party) stated that their agenda would be the one given by late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, that is, roti, kapra, aur makan (food, cloths, and shelter). Funny enough, the same party has been major reason behind taking the said three things away from Pakistani citizen, where around 40% are living under the poverty line. At the moment, Pakistan’s current government is crazily printing notes against the same amount of reserves they hold, forcing inflation to rise consistently. There have been three to four Finance Ministers changed during the period starting 2008 till 2012, which for a country like Pakistan are way more than it can handle. This states that not enough time is being provided to any finance minister to develop a workable plan. Furthermore, high interest rates offered against loans that the government is acquiring from IMF, World Bank, and other countries are taking the country to a state where coming few governments could only hope to pay interests from tax collections and nothing more. The Gross Domestic Product of Pakistan has fallen miserably, reducing the foreign exchange that the country used to earn. On the other hand, imports have been increased to dangerous levels. The country is importing everything from needle to airplanes. It is amazing to note that all four ruling tenures of PPP (including Bhutto) resulted in destruction of industry and GDP (see figure 1, 2, 3, and 4)....
