We live in a world full of Poverty. Poverty is being poor. Poverty is having low income. Poverty is not making ends meet. Poverty does not know where the next place you will eat, sleep or even shower. Poverty is around us, it’s all over the world. Homeless people are everywhere, an estimated of 100 million people are homeless worldwide. The sad part is that number could be so much bigger because it’s not including the homeless people we don’t know about that sleeps under bridges and thing. Poverty is not something you can just wake up and get rid of. It takes time, effort and help to not live in poverty anymore. You can’t escape or eliminate it. Once you are in poverty it takes a lot just to get out. Poverty is an issue which the world faces every day. It is a constant struggle that cannot be ignored anymore. As you can see defeating poverty would take great efforts and contributions from all. We must better educate the youth and have education available for everyone all over the world. We also need to ensure that everyone has a job and that they are properly skilled for the job. People need to realize that poverty affects everyone, not only the poor and uneducated. (KRUGMAN). Our world would be a much better place if everyone pitched in to help defeat a major problem around the world.
How does poverty affect children & their education?
Poverty affects children & their education in many ways. Children in poverty don’t develop normally (Ending Child Poverty). Physically, children may become obese or barely having any meat on their bodies. They develop into obesity because they aren’t able to have the nutritious foods because it’s more expensive than the food that is not good for you. Some kids are not fortunate to eat hardly anything and that is why when you see them they are skin and bones. Most kids in poverty are not healthy.
