A. Introduction
Why Posters?
Posters or plaques are works of art or graphic design that includes the composition drawing on paper and letters are large. Its application to put on the walls or other flat surface with the nature of the eye look as strong as possible because it is usually made ​​with poster colors and strong contrast. Posters can be a medium of advertising, propaganda, socialization, decorations, and especially education.

As a learning medium, posters make teachers easier to present the material and facilitate learners in learning. So that, posters can also be used as part of the teaching and learning activities , in this case the poster is used when the teacher explained to the students a materials ( posters as learning media ) , as well as students in learning the material using a poster provided by the teacher . This poster used should be relevant to the purpose and material. Poster provided teachers with ways to make their own good as well as a way to buy / use the existing ones. In its consumer poster in pairs in the middle of class when needed and in the uninstall again after learning is complete. For example, the teacher gives the students a material about techniques of narrative writing essay about the importance of trash in its place. Then the teacher put up a poster about the impact litter. Teacher assigns students to observe the poster and then the students were instructed to create a poster based on the essay. The colors of poster make the students more interested and motivate students, as a warning, solicitation, propaganda or solicitation to conduct investment something positive and social values ​​and religious. In this case the poster is not used during lessons but on display in the classroom or around the school in a strategic place to be seen clearly by the students. B. Function
Poster, one kind of learning media, has five functions. First of all, poster as materials to develop ideas and creativities for students. In the classroom, teachers use poster as a mean to show materials for the students. Poster has many attractive pictures and illustrations on it. By using posters, in addition to making the presentation more interesting, the students are expected to be more creative and innovative, it is also used to make the students enjoy with the material. The second one, posters as a learning material for particular topic or issue. Nowadays people create posters in attractive way, especially for several topics, such as biology topics, chemistry and others.
