For most of the worlds history population has not been a problem up until 1000AD, since then population has been growing rapidly. Now there are about 6.5 to 7 billion people living on earth way more than it can support. The growth of the human population did not start to increase until agriculture started to become a common trend, and domesticating animals which turned us from hunter gathers to a more sedentary life style.
