Pope John Paul II (18 May 1920 – 3 April 2005) identified by the Australian tabloids as "A central figure of the twentieth century and a champion of freedom and peace"   also known as" Pope John Paul the Great" is a widely acknowledged man, who changed the world. He was the first non-Italian pope in 450 years and the third longest serving (26 years). Pope John Paul II was recognized as a passionate and prolific writer whose works contributed to the Catholic Church and to the Christian tradition as well a practical preacher of the Christian faith who was determined to rejuvenate Christian life and culture in every corner of the globe.
John Paul II's influences was not restricted but widespread. He became a priest under a difficult period (clandestine conditions) and   made his 26 years of papacy very worthwhile as he ensured to touch upon every conservable issue, relevant to almost every group.
Pope John Paul wrote 14 encyclicals, 15 apostolic exhortations, 11 apostolic constitutions, and 45 apostolic letters all of which contributed greatly to the Catholic Church and the Christian tradition. Slavifici Doloris: the Christian meaning and understanding of suffering , Fides et Ratio: the relationship between faith and reason and Familiaris Consortio: the value and importance of the family in the modern world; are insightful encyclicals written by Pope John Paul II to contribute to Christianity and its followers.
