ADVANTAGES: Collect data where and when an event or activity is occurring. DISADVANTAGES: Susceptible to observer bias.
ADVANTAGES: Administration is comparatively inexpensive and easy even when gathering data from large numbers of people spread over wide geographic area. DISADVANTAGES: Survey respondents may not complete the survey resulting in low response rates. OBSERVATION METHOD
ADVANTAGES: Observation forms the basis of any scientific enquiry. It is the primary mode of acquiring knowledge about the environment. Through systematic observation, and a process of induction, the investigator forms hypotheses, which are tested later by using experimental method. DISADVANTAGES: The major problem with observational methods is that the investigator has little control over the situation he is interested to observe. In the natural setting, too many extraneous factors influence the phenomenon. As a result, it is difficult to assess what causes or determines the behaviors of researcher's interest. METHODS OF DATA COLLECTION: for me this types of data collection are very important, because it can makes your research easy to analyze and make you a better decision-making. Also the types of data collection are very essential to do because you make a research, and in research you need to survey, or any data from your resources that completes your study or research.
