The article I am writing about is about pimpin lady’s and how is not good for America. The author has her opinions on why we should not do this and how it looks bad on women. She also says the hip hop world has a lot to do with it. According to the author the way rappers display women in the music videos and speak of them in the songs sends out the message that it is ok to do this. The author goes on to say that the sexploitation of young black women is necessary to keep it real mantra of hip hop artists. I don’t think this true. The women is hip hop videos put themselves in this. They are the ones who choose to go out there and make the money for being half naked being called the names some hip hop artist use for them. Hip hop music make millions of dollars a year. When and if ever rappers stop using sex and bad names for women I would still by there music. Hip hop would not suffer from losing money if they were to change this pimpin persona. When they do change it, I believe they would make more money then ever because the parents that wont let there young kids buy this type of music would start buying the C.D.   When you here rap music you have to remember it is all about making money and how they look to the people who buy there stuff. Artist like 2pac would tell men to remember to respect there women in some of his songs, so there’s no way you can say all rap stands for pimpin. Ms SharpleyWhiting also points out women have there part in this pimpin game. Lil Kim who is a well know as a female rapper has almost the views as the male rappers in her songs. In one of her songs there’s a line that says “quick to deep throat the dick and let another straight lick the clit”. How does the author wants the pimpin persona to stop if women them self goes out and permotes it?   Rappers wright about what they know and what they here. When women go out and say no we will not be seen in your videos half naked and won’t let you call us what ever you want to. Women making money... [continues]
