Introduction
 Founded in 1959, Pidilite is a Mumbai based MNC with more than 5000 employees operating in India, Middle East, Australia, U.S., Brazil, Singapore and Indonesia.  The firm was started in 1959 as a partnership firm, by three brothers – Mr. B.K.Parekh, Mr. S.K.Parekh & Mr. H.K.Parekh and was named Parekh Dyechem Industries.

 Name changed to PDI Industries after merger with Kondivita Industries in 1984 and then, to Pidilite Industries, after merger with Pidilite in 1989.
 Pidilite occupies around 90% of total adhesives market share in India.

 With an experience of over 54 years, the company has a wide variety of product offerings ranging from adhesives and sealants to construction and paint chemicals to automotive chemicals to art materials and industrial adhesives to industrial and textile resins & organic pigments and preparations.
 Company has in total 40 brands spanning 400 industrial and consumer products.  Pidilite recorded a revenue growth of 16% from Rs. 2,748.71Cr. in 2011 to Rs. 3194.03Cr. in 2012 and a growth in net profit of 4.6% from Rs. 308.39 in 2011 to Rs. 322.64 in 2012.

 Consumer Products account for 77% of the company’s total revenue. The break up is as follows : • • • Adhesive and sealants (49% of the company revenue) Construction and Chemicals (18% of the company revenue) Art Materials & Others (10% of the company revenue)

 Industrial Chemicals account for 23% of the company’s total revenue. The break up is as follows : • • Industrial Adhesive (7% of the company revenue) Industrial Resins (8% of the company revenue)
