In Ontario Canada on March 1, 1994 Justin Drew Bieber was born to Pattie Mallette and Jeremy Bieber. Justin’s mother was a young teen mom who ended up raising Justin on her own. Justin grew up with never having his father be around. Being a young child in Canada he was of course brought up with a love for hockey. He also was interested in soccer and chess. With all of these hobby’s he had one that he liked to keep to himself, that would be the musical talents he had budding. Musically speaking he taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and the trumpet. Teaching himself all of these musical ability’s one would think he would have to learn to sing as well. But, he didn’t have to take voice lessons in the beginning he seemed to be a natural born singer.

In 2007 Justin had entered a local singing competition with his rendition of Ne-Yo’s “So-Sick”. He ended up taking second place in the competition. Most of his family and friends were not able to attend the competition so his mother video taped it. His mother decided to put the video up on YouTube for them all to see. With getting such positive feedback from family and friends his mother continued to put up more videos of him singing various songs.

Scooter Braun was on the internet just looking at videos on YouTube when he stumbled upon one of the videos Justin’s mom had put up on the site. Braun was so impressed that a thirteen year old boy was sounding this good and was rising in popularity on YouTube. Braun had no idea who Justin was at the time so he was on the hunt to find this kid to see what he was all about. Before Braun approached Justin, he had to go through the mama to see what this kid was all about. At first his mother was reluctant to letting this complete stranger know anything about her son. Justin was flown out by Braun to Georgia so that he could get in the studio and record a demo. Within a week of recording the demo Justin was able to sing for the famous R&B singer/songwriter...
